High-Flying JPRG Edge of Eternity Shows Off Console Port Footage – Cultured Vultures

Midgar Studio and publisher Dear Villagers (The Forgotten City, Scourgebringer)’s hit JRPG Edge of Eternity has shown off some new gameplay footage to drum up awareness for its impending release on consoles.

In addition, the PC version of Edge of Eternity will receive a comprehensive new 1.1 patch, which will bring new quests, spells, monsters and dialogue along with balancing tweaks and quality-of-life improvements.

The gameplay trailer gives players a clear sense of what to expect when Edge of Eternity reaches consoles: vast fantasy/science-fiction vistas, turn-based combat, massive creatures of both friendly and dangerous varieties, and a sprawling operatic narrative that will serve as the backdrop for a full-length JRPG adventure.

Edge of Eternity, which originally launched in June of this year after entering Early Access in late 2018, follows the adventures of protagonists Daryon and Selene as they battle to save their sci-fi/fantasy world from an existential threat called the Corrosion. The game’s soundtrack is composed by Cédric Menendez, with contributions from Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger, Xenoblade Chronicles, Final Fantasy XV).

Edge of Eternity is currently available on PC and is scheduled to launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in early 2022.
